Globe was built on a simple conviction: that London's extraordinary cultural life should be easy to discover, whatever your budget, wherever you live in the city.
London has more galleries, studios, artist-run spaces and public art than anywhere else on earth. But the information about what's on — and crucially, what's free, what's affordable, what's happening tonight — is scattered, paywalled or just hard to find. Globe changes that.
Globe is London's daily art guide — aggregating, curating and presenting every significant cultural event happening across the capital, updated every morning. We cover everything from blockbuster exhibitions at the Tate and the Royal Academy to one-night gallery openings in Hackney Wick, ceramics markets in King's Cross and artist talks in Peckham.
We believe that friction is the enemy of culture. The more difficult it is to find out what's on, book a place or get to an opening, the fewer people will go. Globe removes that friction — for exhibiting artists who need audiences, and for curious Londoners who need to know what's worth their time.
We are editorially independent. We do not accept payment to list events or promote exhibitions. Every event on Globe is there because our team believes it is worth your attention.
Tate, V&A, British Museum, Royal Academy, Barbican, Serpentine and every other publicly funded institution in London.
White Cube, Hauser & Wirth, Gagosian, Victoria Miro and hundreds of independent and mid-size commercial spaces.
Project spaces, collectives, open studios and temporary venues — the underground engine of London's art scene.
From Mayfair to Peckham, Shoreditch to Hammersmith — every postcode, not just the fashionable ones.
Globe publishes a fresh guide every morning at 7am. Our automated systems pull from venue websites, gallery press offices and event databases — then our editors verify, curate and enrich every listing before it goes live.
Free always beats paid. Where an event is free, we say so prominently. We believe cultural access should not be gated by income, and we actively champion free and pay-what-you-can programming.
Independent and honest. We are not funded by galleries or arts organisations. We do not receive advertising from institutions whose events we list. Our editorial judgements are our own.
Diversity of practice. We are committed to covering artists and organisations who reflect London's actual population — in terms of race, gender, background, geography and practice. We actively seek out work by underrepresented artists and communities.
Useful, not just beautiful. Globe is a tool. It should be fast, clear and helpful — helping you decide what to do tonight in thirty seconds, not thirty minutes.
